“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It’s a direction, not a destination”.
Carl Rogers
We work together to build a better you.
Life can be unbearable when you’re overwhelmed by all the things, you’re “supposed to be doing” as an adult. But it is possible to feel way more comfortable with life. Relationships can improve. You can feel like you’re making the decisions that are best for you. Most importantly, you can feel good about being yourself!
Maybe, the things that are bothering you weren’t caused by adulthood. There are things that have bothered you for a long time. But you decided you’re ready to get help. There may be uncomfortable emotions caused by trauma that happened a while ago. Or maybe you’ve had anxiety and have never felt that great about yourself. It’s possible that you may not even know why.
Individual counselling is a personal opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging times in life. Gail will support you in exploring, understanding, and uncovering the hidden links, gaining insight into how your problems have arisen, and develop skills, resolve issues, shift perspectives, and strengthening your inner self to make beneficial changes in your life.
Common counselling issues that Gail works with; abuse, anxiety, social and health anxiety, low mood, depression, disordered eating, family problems, sleep issues, bereavement, healthy boundaries, unsatisfactory patterns of behaviour, anger, assertiveness, lack of purpose, low self-esteem, trauma, gender, relationship challenges, sexuality, life stages, career changes, stress, worry and fear.
“Thank you for your help, support and guidance when I was feeling so lost. I have grown in confidence and am so much happier in myself – and a lot of that is down to you, thank you.”
“I have truly valued your support, views, advice, calm and good humour! Thank you for your support of me during what has been a tough and uneasy year. You have been such a source of encouragement, thank you.”
“Thank you so much for all the advice and help you’ve given me but mainly thank you for giving me a place and someone to go to and talk about my problems.”
